Job Summary: SUNY Brockport is accepting applications for a Classroom Support Specialist. The duties and responsibilities associated with the operation of Academic Technology Support (ATS) includes classroom technology equipment distribution, set-up, repair, preventative maintenance, assisting clients with the use of classroom technology and providing technical support to all learning environments.- Troubleshoots and provides assistance with classroom equipment issues.
- Trains users on proper use of equipment.
- Assists with event set-up and tear down.
- Coordinates and assists with the upgrade/installation of learning space technology and systems.
- Utilizes Crestron XiO/Toolbox to troubleshoot classroom technology control issues.
- Maintains, supports, and provides user training for campus event management system.
- Associates degree from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education and two years of full-time work experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to working in a culturally diverse environment.
- Must be able to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Must have a valid NYS driver’s license.
- Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university.
- Work experience in higher education environment.
- Experience working with Crestron control system.
- Experience working with event management systems.
- Professional certification in audiovisual field.
