Job Description:
Full Time Bone Marrow Transplant Clinic Nurse ManagerFocusing on Intermountain's Fundamentals of Care, the Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Loveland Clinic/Infusion Manager is responsible for managing day to day operations and ensuring that excellent patient care is provided. This includes developing, managing, and achieving budgetary and financial objectives, quality improvement initiatives, service line development, and personnel management. This position works closely with Service Line Leadership, Providers and other members of multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the highest value sub-specialty care.
Essential Functions
- Leadership accountabilities: Responsible for the environment in which clinical nursing and clinical care is practiced. Provides operational leadership in a manner that promotes a consistent, effective culture. Demonstrates effective written, verbal and electronic communication that is professional in both content and delivery. This person will maintain their own knowledge base related to new procedures, policies, regulations and technologies and growing trends in BMT/Cellular Therapy population.
- Clinical Excellence: Responsible for department performance and compliance with patient safety initiatives, federal, state and other regulatory bodies such as Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS, DOPL, FACT, and other department specific accrediting and certifying bodies. Ensures achievement of clinical program goals and implements action plans to improve performance as needed. Effectively uses professional and organizational best practices to ensure the delivery of quality patient care. Participating member of a professional organization appropriate to position and service line. Facilitates and encourages staff participation in professional organizations.
- Operational Excellence: Responsible for development, implementation and management of annual capital/operating and personnel (FTE) budget for department. Uses resources effectively and manages expenses to meet financial goals of department. Maintains financial literacy relative to ambulatory care and industry specific trends, including complex reimbursement processes. Promotes ambulatory and infusion throughput and efficiency, in partnership with pharmacy and provider stakeholders.
- Employee Engagement and Human Resources: Models and fosters an environment of professionalism and employee engagement in the department. Responsible for recruitment, retention, and employee satisfaction. Ensures competent and sufficient number of staff to meet patient care needs (7 days per week), which includes hiring, orientation, and managing staffing to a changing census. Ensure that new skill training and ongoing competency verification is completed annually. Evaluate staff competency through use of performance reviews and peer reviews. Mentors staff and provide professional educational opportunities. Utilizes participative practice management models.
- Relationship Management: Works closely with the corresponding facility hospital leadership, clinic leadership, Cancer Service Line leadership and other key stakeholders of Cancer Services and is responsible for achieving the goals of the organization and the Cancer Service Line as well as creating and achieving operational and capital budgets for the specific facility location

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Education must be obtained through an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
- RN License required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Two years of experience in progressively responsible healthcare leadership positions.
- Five years of clinical experience.
- Experience in budget development and management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree (Business or Health Administration).
- Experience or background in Oncology
- Experience with FACT accreditation surveys
- BMTCN or OCN
