Accounting Specialist (53778)

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable:

· Point of contact for designated customers

· Maintains customer accounting files

· Able to process and submit at a minimum 500 invoices per week

· Audits and verifies past due invoices and assists with collections

· Responds to inquiries by customers

Accounts Payable:

· Vouchering 30-35 invoices per week

· Weekly check run

· Vendor Maintenance

· Approving and submitting invoices to customers for payment

General:

· Special projects as assigned, and other related accounting & finance functions (bank rec, month end rec)

· Some clerical functions, as needed

· Payroll backup

Required Education and Experience:

· Degree in Accounting preferred but not required

· Viewpoint Spectrum experience preferred but not required

· 5 years accounting experience in a corporate environment

· Ability to prioritize and to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner

· Eye for detail, accuracy is imperative

· Able to meet deadlines

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Excellent organizational and analytical skills

· Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative

· Proficient with MS Word and Excel
