Strategic Vendor Manager

Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 1-2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

The Strategic Vendor Manager is responsible for managing the  overall  vendor performance per contractual service level agreements (SLA) and ensures vendor conformity to enterprise standards, operational processes and management guidelines to ensure business goals are achieved for an enterprise function.   Acts as single point of accountability for internal and external business partners.

How You Will Make an Impact

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Defines and oversees the execution of complex vendor management and implementation strategy for a defined set of vendors. 
  • Proactively develops effective business relationships with vendors, stakeholders, and key decision makers in order to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Responsible for the development and ongoing management of one or more implementation programs that are multi-state, multi-function and multi-year in scope. 
  • Directs the development, planning, prioritization, approval, implementation and compliance of on-going vendor programs.
  • Establishes program governance when needed to assure response to issue escalation; develops program budget and ensures program meets its stated objectives.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in response to strategic business issues; researches applicable subject matter practices; and remains aware of industry trends.
  • Drives continuous improvement activities and implementations across functional areas. 
  • Recommends and implements vendor parameters regarding vendor production and quality in support of business objectives.
  • Travels to worksite and other locations as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS degree in business or a related field; 5-7 years of process improvement, inventory management, contract management, vendor management, project management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $88,116 to $144,762.

Locations: California; Maryland
