Position Title: Sr. Director, Capital Markets & Treasury

Location: Dallas, TX

Your role The Senior Director, Capital Markets & Treasury reports to the SVP, Treasury and provides a key leadership role in the strategic direction and implementation of the Global Treasury function. This includes analyzing, structuring, and executing financing initiatives, preparing analysis and recommendations to optimize Digital Realty’s capital structure and cost of financing. The Senior Director, Treasury and Capital Markets will be tasked with helping to manage a global portfolio of financings, help lead the execution of new corporate and joint venture financings, including project finance/CMBS, and assist in identifying and implementing foreign exchange and interest rate risk mitigation strategies. 

What you’ll do

• Monitor financing needs and recommend and present capital raising strategies.
• Evaluate alternative financing structures to optimize capital structure and cost of borrowing.
• Partner with Legal, Tax, Accounting, and other internal and external partners to analyze and execute capital markets transactions while ensuring compliance with financial covenants and REIT requirements.
• Assist managing relationships with banking partners and utilize them to provide timely analysis and recommendations in support of Digital’s financing strategy.
• Work with banking partners and our international Treasury teams to evaluate and recommend local financing initiatives where local financing and funding is warranted.
• Partner with FP&A, Tax and other key constituents to assess financing needs and conduct detailed scenario analysis for financing alternatives. 
• Assist in reporting and advising on key financial metrics to senior management. Prepare clear and concise presentations for review and distribution. Assist internal teams with presentations and other diligence items.
• Assist global Treasury team in managing interest rate and foreign currency risk and analyze appropriate solutions for mitigating risks.
• Assist the Senior Vice President – Treasury and global Treasury team with daily cash management, JV and Fund management, and other projects.
• Stay abreast of changing conditions across debt, equity, currency and interest rate markets.

What you’ll need 

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or other related discipline. MBA or advanced degree in Finance strongly preferred. CFA a plus.
• Experience with global capital markets and project finance/CMBS. Real estate experience is highly desirable.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in a Corporate Finance or Banking Capital Markets function.
• Ability to bring innovative approaches to bear in analyzing and solving problems.
• Experience with and understanding of international tax and treasury concepts and challenges.
• Experience with executing financing transactions across a variety of debt and equity solutions and/or currencies.
• Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
• Hands-on, self-starter with strong business/common sense.
• Goal-oriented and possesses the ability to prioritize on a consistent basis in an ever-changing environment.
• Excellent analytical, financial modeling, negotiation, and organization skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including preparing and making presentations to senior management or outside partners.
• Demonstrated leadership, facilitation skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
