Position Overview

This position coordinates event logistics, communications, website and social media updates, outreach activities, and data collection and reporting. The role serves as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders and helps ensure that The People Center operates efficiently and effectively in support of student success, industry engagement, and research-practice collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two years of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to analyze and summarize data and prepare reports.
- Experience with social media platforms and website content management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in higher education, nonprofit, or business administration.
- Experience planning and coordinating events.
- Experience managing social media and web content.
- Experience using data systems such as Handshake.
- Familiarity with SHRM-CP and HRCI continuing education requirements.

Job Duties

  • Administrative & Financial Coordination Manages contracts, files, and legal documentation to ensure institutional compliance. Handles complex calendar scheduling, optimizes resource allocation, tracks expenditures, and drafts financial reports for leadership decisions. 
  • Operations & Program Support Develops standard operating procedures and shared digital resources
