The Headlines:
In the role of Safety and Security Officer working in Elkton, VA you will be part of the Brewery Safety team. You will be responsible for initiating and maintaining an overall safety and security program. This role will monitor building and grounds to determine security issues and potentially hazardous conditions or safety violations.
You will also be responsible for conducting periodic inspections of building, grounds, and equipment for hazardous conditions and/or safety violations as well as providing emergency medical attention and hazardous response support as required.
This position reports to the Safety Manager and partners with the Manufacturing Operations team to support the adherence to all Molson Coors and governmental rules, regulations, policies, and programs related to safety and security.
The Responsibilities:
- Initiating and maintaining overall safety and security program.
- Monitors access of all visitors, vendors, and contractors to ensure compliance with company guidelines
- Provides training to above to ensure understanding of company safety and security procedures
- Provides first response medical support for accidents or injuries and follow-up medical observation and/or treatment as needed.
- Contacts emergency services as needed to arrange support/transport to area emergency treatment facilities.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safety through participation in and support of Safety Management Practices (SMP) and other safety initiatives as identified
The Other Qualifications:
- Emergency Medical Technician certification, required
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in safety, security, or emergency response role or similar function
- You have a High School diploma or equivalency
- You have great knowledge of company and governmental safety and environmental policies and regulations.
