Job Description

Position Summary

The Manager, Corporate Finance & Accounting, will be part of the Corporate Close & Consolidations team supporting the overall Company’s global consolidation and elimination process. This role’s initial priority will be assuming oversight of the company-wide domestic foreign currency translation and remeasurement processes. This individual will also be responsible for consolidation processes, elimination entries, hedge accounting, analyses to ensure proper accounting, and close partnerships with all divisions. The position will report to the Senior Director, Corporate Finance & Accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with monthly close & consolidation process, including elimination entries.
  • Manage Company’s FX translation and remeasurement processes (key priority for first 6 months).
  • Partner closely with business units to resolve FX issues and questions; lead business unit trainings.
  • Oversee company-wide derivative accounting, ensuring compliance with ACS 815/820.
  • Perform monthly/quarterly analyses and validations to ensure transactions are recorded properly.
  • Review divisional and corporate accounting processes to ensure overall standardized guidelines are followed and areas of efficiencies are identified.
  • Support other areas of global consolidation such as intracompany content sales, final data submission to Comcast Corporate, and reconciliations between NBCU and Comcast ledgers.
  • Perform and review account reconciliations.
  • Partner with external/internal auditors to support quarterly and yearly financial and internal control audits.
  • Special projects as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of accounting related experience.
  • Prior foreign currency experience desired.
  • Combination of public accounting and entertainment industry preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Strong / exceptional Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP / AOE preferred.
