About the job you’re considering
We are looking for an experienced Performance Engineer to lead and manage end-to-end performance engineering delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in performance optimization, team leadership, and stakeholder management, with hands-on experience in performance testing tools and cloud platforms.
Your role
- Lead and manage a team of performance engineers and SMEs, providing guidance, mentorship, and ensuring high performance and professional growth.
- Drive end-to-end performance engineering delivery, innovation in performance testing space, and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and ensure adherence to SAFe methodologies as a certified Agile practitioner.
- Perform performance bottleneck detection, root cause analysis (RCA), and collaborate with product and development teams to track and remediate performance issues.
- Experienced in performance engineering for distributed systems/microservices (K8s/Dockers based applications).
- Performance testing of POS devices and backend services (payment gateways, inventory systems, cloud APIs).
- Familiarity with message queues Kafka, caches (Redis), and databases performance tuning.
- Optimize and monitor Native Mobile applications for performance, profiling, and resource utilization.
Your skills and experience
- 10+ years of experience in performance engineering, with 4+ years managing end-to-end delivery and driving innovation.
- Hands-on experience with LoadRunner and JMeter; knowledge of other industry-standard tools desirable.
- Expertise in at least one APM tool (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, PerfMon, Splunk, JProfiler) and strong root cause analysis skills.
- Experience with Native Mobile application performance optimization and monitoring.
- Exposure to Azure or other cloud platforms.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with architects and developers for requirement gathering.
- Nice-to-Have:
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of performance testing.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices performance tuning
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $86,900 - $203,800.
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
