Summary of the Position:

The Team Lead – National Deposit Services Operations is responsible for leading day-to-day operational support for National Deposit and Family Office front-office teams. This role serves as a critical partner to National Deposit Sales, Private Bank, and Treasury Management by ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant onboarding, servicing, and maintenance of complex deposit relationships.

The Team Lead provides hands-on leadership to an operational team supporting high-balance, relationship-driven deposit clients, including broker-dealers, asset and fund managers, financial services firms, and family offices. The role ensures strong execution across client onboarding, account maintenance, documentation, and ongoing servicing, while promoting consistency, risk awareness, and operational excellence.

Primary Functions of the Position:

  • Lead and oversee daily operational activities supporting National Deposit and Family Office deposit clients, ensuring service levels align with front-office expectations and client needs.
  • Act as a primary operational liaison to National Deposit Sales, Private Bank, and Treasury Management teams, supporting seamless client onboarding and ongoing servicing.
  • Manage end-to-end deposit account lifecycle activities, including new account onboarding, documentation review, KYC/CIP support, account maintenance, relationship updates, internal transfers, and account closures.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for National Deposit Services Operations staff, fostering accountability, engagement, and continuous development.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and internal control requirements related to deposit operations, partnering with Risk, Compliance, and Quality Review as appropriate.
  • Support operational execution for specialized and customized deposit products, including insured cash sweep and regulated fund accounts, working closely with Capital Markets and Finance partners.
  • Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and risks within deposit operations workflows and partner with leadership on process improvement initiatives and automation efforts.
  • Monitor workload volumes, service metrics, and issue trends to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives impacting deposit onboarding, servicing, technology enhancements, and client experience, including coordination with Salesforce and other operational tools.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience in deposit operations, treasury operations, or financial services operations, with exposure to National Deposit, Private Bank, or complex commercial deposit clients preferred.
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring operational staff strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of deposit products, onboarding requirements, documentation standards, and operational controls within a regulated financial institution.

  • Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Solid understanding of deposit operations workflows, client onboarding, and servicing processes.
  • Ability to partner effectively with front-office sales and relationship management teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to escalate issues clearly and constructively.
  • Demonstrated risk awareness and commitment to compliance, quality, and control discipline.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and ability to adapt to evolving operational systems and platforms.
