ABOUT THE ORCHESTRA FINANCE TEAM

The Orchestra Finance Team oversees financial results and works with our teams on client finance, growth strategies and the overall financial health of the company. We are responsible for the successful integration with our new partner companies as well as any future acquisition activity.

We work with management and other key agency stakeholders to drive profitability and monitor key performance indicators. We are growing a team of experienced finance professionals, change agents, Excel masters and complex problem-solvers to collaborate cross-functionally to assess financial strategies, systems and processes in an effort to drive the full-cycle financial health of all our clients.

 

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Orchestra is seeking a Senior Analyst, Client Finance who will own revenue accounting, financial forecasting, pricing, reporting & analysis and business risk assessment. This is an excellent opportunity for a solutions-oriented and analytically minded individual who will approach work with a sense of possibility, sees challenges as opportunities and has a relentless passion and curiosity for process improvement.

Job responsibilities include assisting with month-end close processes, providing summaries of monthly billing and reconciliations and more.

Role location: This role is based in our New York, N.Y. office on a hybrid basis. The Finance team is in-office at least 3 days per week.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

As a Senior Analyst, Client Finance on our Finance team, you will…

  • Provide day-to-day financial support to practices and assist with business management at the project and practice level
  • Maintain various financial trackers and reports (month-end reporting, budget trackers, financial statements, AR, staff utilization, burn reports, WIP management, over-service reporting, etc.)
  • Oversee and update Vena, our financial planning tool, to ensure accurate and up-to-date project and workforce data
  • Participate in the coordination of the annual budget and re-forecasts
  • Proactively document, follow up on and close out any revenue, budgeting, billing, invoicing or payment issues that pertain to client(s) in a timely fashion or until resolved
  • Own the AR function with the billing supervisor by pursuing timely collection with continuous internal & client follow up while escalating collections issues as necessary
  • Continually manage WIP exposure
  • Monitor labor hours against correct jobs and prepare transfers as appropriate
  • Partner with practices to ensure the monthly financial schedule is followed
  • Prepare month-end journal entries for revenue and intercompany transfers if required
  • Open and manage jobs in coordination with account teams
  • Monitor jobs, estimates, POs and rate cards to ensure accuracy and project activity
  • Serve as a reliable and forward-thinking business analytics resource and provide oversight to assigned practices
  • Lead and participate in financial meetings with internal teams
  • Participate in any and all Sarbanes-Oxley initiatives and ad hoc projects as needed
