A Shift - 7:00am-7:00pm

Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Machine Operation 

  • Safely operates powered industrial forklifts in a warehouse and a high traffic production environment.  Operator must carry out to detailed policies and procedures including but not limited to safety inspections, GMP requirements, use of safety equipment. 

  • Uses forklift to safely and efficiently move pallets, coordinate bulk equipment movement to maintain optimal line efficiency. 

  • Assists operators in manually loading and unloading products. 

  • Completes general housekeeping necessary to comply with quality standards in medical device manufacturing facility.  

  • Prepares product for manual/automated processing. 

  • Supports loading/unloading product from/to trailers. 

  • Operators must effectively agree with the others to ensure effective shift transfer and communication. 

  • Support business needs by working overtime as vital to satisfy schedule requirements 

  • Safety 

  • Participate fully to achieve the department’s safety goals. 

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. 

  • Holds self accountable to follow all safety policies & procedures. 

  • Debrief accidents and implement solutions to eliminate root cause. 

  • Hold team members to safety standards/regulations & policies. 

  • Other duties as required to support the needs of the business. 

Education: 

• High School diploma or equivalent, required 

Experience: 

• Manufacturing experience preferred but not required 

• Forklift – Must be able to obtain License within 3 months 

• Must have a valid driver’s license 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

• Must be able to speak, read and write English 

• Good interpersonal skills 

• Computer skills (SAP, Excel, Word preferred) - Basic 

Physical Demands:   

• PCP Level 3: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly.  

Work Environment (if applicable): 

• High speed manufacturing environment.  Must remain alert and focused. 

• No air-conditioning in parts of sterilization/warehouse area. 

• May have intermittent exposure to chemicals. 

• Degree of exposure to dust, dirt, heat, fumes, noise, vibration and chemicals.
