Director of Accounting- ISNIP Experience (Remote)

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Accounting with experience in Institutional Special Needs Plan (ISNIP) and familiarity with NAIC reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, along with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.  The candidate will oversee the accounting team and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Coordinate and lead the annual audit process
• Provide guidance and support to accounting staff
• Manage relationships with external partners, including auditors and regulatory agencies
• Stay current with industry trends and changes in accounting regulations
