Technician, Production-PT Seasonal 1

WJBF NewsChannel 6—the #1 television station in Augusta and part of Nexstar Media Group, one of the nation’s largest media companies—is hiring Part-Time Seasonal Production Techs to join our award-winning remote production team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in live broadcast production in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Load and unload production equipment at each remote location
•    Run and secure audio and video cables between cameras and the production trailer
•    Take direction from the director and other technical crew during live broadcasts
•    Assist with camera operations: positions may be on the field (handheld camera) or atop the press box (tripod-mounted)
•    May be assigned to support audio setup, monitoring, or live graphics
•    Travel with the crew using station vehicles to different high school football stadiums each Friday
•    Work outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions
Requirements:
•    Must be available every Friday from August 7th through November 6th
•    Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs of equipment
•    Comfortable working outdoors and at various locations
•    Strong communication skills and the ability to take direction in high-pressure environments
•    Punctual, dependable, and a team player
•    Prior production or event experience is a plus, but not required—training provided
 

Additional Details:

•    Approx. 12–15 hours each Friday
•    Transportation to/from each location is provided by the station
