Description
Position Purpose:
Support testing activities for multiple clients through ongoing communication with the business test representatives and ensuring that key issues are managed or escalated as necessary. Through the Testing Life Cycle, ensure that high quality standards are achieved at all times.
What You Do:
- Attend project meetings with technical team to cover test-dependent activities such as requirement verification and identification of test requirements utilizing the Testing Life Cycle methodology. Identify risks that may compromise achievement of deliverables and initiate steps to mitigate risk. Serve as liaison between customers and I/S development and to assist each line of business regarding test planning, testing activities and test analysis.
- Prepare and maintain relevant test documentation, testing activity schedules. Utilizing quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, testing status prepare written reports, analysis and visual progress charts.
- Design test matrices and other testing documentation for system changes to ensure appropriate test coverage. Perform testing of applications and enhancements to ensure correct functionality and ensure all defects are accurately logged, tracked and resolved.
- Support other test teams and I/S team members as appropriate for the implementation of testing related activities.
What You Need to Qualify:
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a job-related field
Degree Equivalency:
- 4 years job related work experience or Associate's and 2 years job related work experience
Required Experience:
- 7 years-of IT experience five years of which includes experience developing test plans and/or test matrices.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills to be able to influence business or technical partners.
- Knowledge of EDP systems and procedures, and their integration with the users.
- Thorough understanding of data processing terminology and operations.
- Ability to create complex test cases to reflect required business requirements.
- Thorough knowledge of structured test methods and processing.
- Detailed knowledge of both manual and automated testing.
- SDLC knowledge.
- Ability to analyze, document and submit defects.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work on large scale projects.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced complex and dynamic environment.
Required Software and Tools:
- Mainframe/enterprise service experience.
- Web or desktop testing exper
