The Manager of AI & Innovation will be pivotal in overseeing the development and implementation of AI-driven initiatives and innovative solutions that align with the organization's strategic goals. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of creativity, and taking a hands-on approach to participate in coding and developing solutions actively. The manager will be deeply involved in the technical aspects of projects, ensuring the successful execution of initiatives that drive growth and operational efficiency. This position requires a balance of leadership and technical expertise, enabling the manager to guide the team while also contributing directly to the development process. This position can be based in our Denver, Colorado location, hybrid schedule or Virtual. 

 

Responsibilities: 

Develop and execute AI and innovation strategies in line with business objectives.

Lead and manage cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and implement innovative solutions.

Collaborate with various departments to integrate AI technologies and drive digital transformation.

Establish frameworks for assessing and prioritizing innovation projects, stay up-to-date with AI and innovation trends, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with business priorities.

 

Manager of AI & Innovation, required experience:

• 2+ Years of Experience with data analytics, governance and security
• Proven track record of successfully managing and launching new products or services
• Strong understanding of market dynamics and emerging technologies
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and design thinking principles
• Knowledge of digital transformation technologies, including AI and machine learning
• Experience with Azure Cloud, specifically Azure OpenAI
• Must be authorized to work for Sonepar in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

 

Education requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field

 

Skills/Experience desired:

• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python, R, Java, or C++.
• Strong knowledge of AI technologies, including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision
• Big Data Technologies: Familiarity with big data technologies such as Snowflake, Spark, or Kafka.
• Natural Language Processing (NLP): Expertise in NLP techniques and tools.
• Computer Vision: Knowledge of computer vision algorithms and libraries.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
