<p><b>Be the new </b><b>(Senior) Medical Director - Inflammation</b><br/> </p><p><span>I</span><span>n a biotech company bonding to discover, design and develop innovative peptide-based medicines.</span></p><p></p><p><span>Currently, we are looking for a new (Senior) Medical Director Inflammation to join our Medical Affairs division and support our growth journey. </span>Medical Affairs provides medical leadership with market preparation and partnership engagement on all Zealand Pharma products and therapies and supports our internal stakeholders with medical insight and expertise. Medical Affairs aims to lead Zealand in achieving scientific leadership, being a great place to work, and keeping patients at the core of everything we do.</p><p>We are a medium-sized biotech with a short chain of command. We are currently a team of 13 (11 based in DK and 2 in the US), reporting to the Head of Medical Affairs, and we are looking for the right colleague to add additional competencies the team. The position will be based in Søborg, Denmark.</p><p>So, ask yourself:<br/><br/>- Are you an experienced in Medical Affairs with international experience and desire responsibility for a broad range of tasks?</p><p>- Are you interested in taking your medical affairs career to the next level by being exposed to and providing input to our research and development teams?</p><p>- Are you someone who likes to work on important projects on a global scale?</p><p>If the answer to the above is yes, please reach out to us and take the next step in your career!</p><p><br/><b><span>Responsibilities:</span></b></p><ul><li>Designing and managing the implementation of the medical affairs plan</li><li>Cross-functional collaboration within R&amp;D and other internal functions</li><li>Following medical developments within therapy area, and disseminating new information to educate and inform the organization</li><li>Liaising with the internal and external medical/scientific community</li><li>Representing Medical Affairs at project Core Teams in a project centric organization</li><li>Accountable for engaging and cultivating relationships with leading global KOLs, e.g., to gain contribution/ participation in advisory boards, greater understanding of the therapeutic area, insights into unmet patient needs, etc.</li><li>Working with relevant prof. societies and patient organization</li><li>Facilitating incoming grants and IIT requests for discussion and approval</li><li>Contributing with relevant scientific input with partners and in the Business development</li><li>Representing Zealand at scientific and medical forums, e.g., medical education symposia, scientific exchange meetings, congresses, etc.</li><li>Closely collaborating with and supporting our Chief Medical Officer</li></ul><p><b>Candidate Profile</b></p><ul><li>MD or equivalent background preferably with training in Inflammation</li><li>Established industry experience</li><li>Experience in Medical Affairs and working cross-functionally across a product team</li><li>Experience developing medical plans for the approval/launch of new products</li><li>Demonstrated strategic and medical leadership ability</li><li>Ability to deliver results and impactful new initiatives in a matrix environment</li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver medical presentations</li><li>Strong analytical mind-set, able to quickly assess large amounts of information, and to distil into key messages and actions</li><li>Appreciation of the evolving Medical Affairs space</li></ul><p><br/><b>Bonding to innovate ​</b></p><p>Our employees are fundamental to our success, and we continue to be able to attract and retain people with vast experience and talent.
