Senior UX Technical Writer

Reports to: Head of UX

Location: Remote US

Compensation Range: $130,000 to $150,000 base plus bonus and equity

What You’ll Do: 

The growing Product Design team at Huntress is driven by our mission to deliver cybersecurity to the 99%, and our process reflects that. We are looking for a Senior Technical Writer to help us communicate in a human-centered and concise manner. Technical writers improve User Experience (UX) by crafting clear and understandable material, which takes the form of documentation, User Interface (UI) copy, knowledge articles, and more.

Responsibilities:  

• Contribute to writing-related processes, terminology, and style guides
• Craft UI copy and other content for Huntress products
• Support other content at Huntress like knowledge articles, feature documentation, release notes, and other online content
• Participate in UX design critiques, assist with user research, and contribute to the design system
• Collaborate across departments to be a single voice for our users

What You Bring To The Team:  

You might call yourself a technical writer, UX writer, content designer, or content strategist but you know it's really about providing the best User Experience possible with the right words at the right time.  

• 3+ years of experience writing topic-based documentation and UI copy for software products and services, particularly SaaS offerings
• Familiarity with rapid prototyping tools, like Figma, InVision, or similar
• A technical background or proven ability to assimilate technical information and produce accurate documentation; a background in cybersecurity preferred
• Ability to work across teams to help shape a cohesive interface and user experience
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with Docs-as-code or other markup formatting experience; Git or Github experience preferred
• Experience with testing and metrics related to UI copy would be a plus
