ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, a Market Leader in the Financial Industry that provides Innovative IT Services and produces some of the most high-performance and data-intensive systems in the market, is seeking for a Mid level Database Administrator to join their Database Administration team.

What you will be doing:
You will be part of the Database Administration team, participating in monitoring, maintenance, and operation, daily activities, while ensuring high performance and secure database environments for the company's and clients’ databases. In addition, you will participate in the design, planning, implementation and testing of new databases.
More specifically you will:
- Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
- Provide technical and operational database administration both in Oracle and Microsoft technologies
- Install, maintain, develop, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security, availability and integrity of the company/client databases and data warehouse database environments
- Create, maintain, and update SQL Server Infrastructure and Standards DBA documentation
- Provide input into overall development/implementation plan and document database builds and changes, perform SQL designs, table designs, and stored procedures work
- Provide analysis and definitions of technical standards related to database resources
- Participate in 24x7 weekly stand by support of production database systems
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or science degree in combination with a postgraduate degree in Information Technology
- 2-3 years’ database administration experience in Server Databases
- Experience with database standards, end user applications and programming languages such SQL (PL/SQL, T-SQL) coding
- Experience in data manipulation languages, including Oracle Database and/or MS SQL Server technologies
- Flexibility to work out of hours – if required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Highly organized and responsible personality
- Positive attitude, highly motivated, proactive and team player mentality
Any of the following will be considered an asset
- Familiarity with programming languages API
- Knowledge of database performance tuning, clustering, replication, and log shipping
