Warehouse Supervisor - Marshall, MN
Job SummaryManages inventory of capital equipment, raw materials, chemicals, MRO supplies and other miscellaneous items as required to maintain and support Plant Operations, Production and Engineering. Oversees the Warehouse Team to ensure accuracy of work, recordkeeping, quality, service and costs.
Essential Job Functions
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality and Production procedures / policies.
- Supervise the performance and development of Warehouse Team through training and coaching.
- Recognize (and if needed, reward) individual performance as it impacts the Team and its output.
- Handle all employee issues, conflicts and disciplinary action promptly with appropriate action and to ensure consistency and fairness.
- Lead daily operations of the Warehouse to support quality products and services that add value to downstream customers and in return the shareholders.
- Administer Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders within the Company procurement system (Maximo and Coupa).
- Utilization & compliance of Global Procurement strategic sourcing agreements.
- Oversee the coordination of Maximo parts administration process to maintain the integrity of the Maximo part numbering system and its use.
- Create/Issue RFQ’s and verifies supplier pricing and deliveries.
- Interface with Engineers and Vendors to specify definitions of materials and services as required.
- Resolve discrepancies of receipts and invoices to purchase orders internally and externally.
- Utilize all available assets (or find new ones) to maximize efficiency in all Warehouse functions.
- Develop and conduct regularly scheduled department meetings and safety topics/discussions.
- Participate in and provide support and direction for all ADM safety programs.
- Complete ADM training and other classes as required in addition to monitoring the Warehouse colleagues meeting these expectations.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office proficiently.
- Communicate effectively with various roles and levels of colleagues in the organization.
- Able to maintain confidentiality while working on sensitive projects and procedures.
- Work with minimal supervision and in a professional manner at all times.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
- Five years of experience as a supervisor or leader in warehouse operations. Experience managing warehouse operations in a continuous manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated strong commitment to leadership in Plant safety, quality and environmental programs.
- Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks, meet deadlines and strive for continuous improvement.
- Ability to utilize independent judgment to solve problems and establish priorities.
- Computer proficiency and knowledge of DCS and PI software.

- The scope of the position may have exposure to and use of chemicals, solvents and cleaners that may be hazardous and/or cause injury if specific instructions regarding their mixture, use and/or disposal/storage are not properly followed.
- Inside areas:
- Spring / Summer: Temperatures in some areas of the facility will be up to or exceed 100 degrees.
- Fall / Winter: Temperatures in the facility may be at or below freezing.
- Outside areas:
- Spring / Summer: Outside temperature may be up to or exceed 100 degrees with potential for high humidity. May be exposed to inclement weather conditions including, but not limited to, rain and wind.
- Fall / Winter: Outside temperatures may reach freezing or below. May be exposed to inclement weather including, freezing rain, sleet, snow and wind.
- Some manufacturing processes within the facility are highly reliant on machinery and other processing equipment and, as a result, noise levels may reach or exceed 85 decibels and require use of hearing protection for most of the work shift.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift and transport materials and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis, up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis and up to 55 pounds overhead.
- Lifting or carrying of weights over 50 pounds is rare. Employees are encouraged to request assistance in lifting or carrying objects that weigh more than 50 pounds.
- Able to traverse up to two (2) miles during the course of a work day.
