Job Description Summary

Plans and conducts basic experiments to meet research project objectives, with close supervision. Assists in performing laboratory experiments and clinical studies for product or material formulation and development. Daily management of laboratory tools, documentations and processes to ensure regulatory compliance and timely completion of project/program deliverables.

Under general supervision, the Research Specialist A/B will investigate the role of specific tumor virus genes and gene products in the development of human cancers. To screen for microbial agents in human cancers and other diseases using microarray, sequencing, and immunological assays. Molecular biology techniques, biochemical assays, and cell biological approaches will be pursued. Implement and perform assays on microarray and deep sequencing platforms. This individual will develop familiarity with outputs from several molecular assays and combine these data sets with phenotypic data such as clinical outcomes.
