Manager/Senior Manager, Technology Strategy Development

What is our challenge for you?

In R&D we have high ambitions to lead the direction of the industry in technology and products. We are now looking for a Manager/Senior Manager, Technology Strategy Development, to partner with product and technology leaders and work in key position driving strategy development together with industry leading experts.

Key responsibilities include

• Drive strategy & development initiatives with cross-functional teams. Engage various stakeholders and take ownership of aligning diverse views to come to a synthesis.

• Work closely with product & technology leaders, coaching and supporting them in strategy definition and development. Review existing technology & product strategies to highlight opportunities for improvement and propose alternatives.

• Work together with technology & competitor intelligence to synthesizing key industry and technology trends into actionable recommendations. Formulate and communicate insights and recommendations for management decision-making.

• Design and own governance model(s) to track strategy deployment progress 

To succeed in this key role

• You have background working with strategy and technology in an international multisite environment with high performing technology business

• You are tech-savvy with diverse experience and knowledge of latest technologies and trends, including digitalization and ecosystems. In addition, you are curious to understand the commercial implications of the made technology and product choices

• You are a fast learner, able to work across many technologies and product domains

• You can cultivate a strong network both internally and externally to leverage in strategy work

• You are excellent in creating clarity and focus on complex situations and turning problems into actionable recommendations.

• You have experience of agile ways of working and understanding of R&D methodologies & processes

• You are an excellent collaborator who can communicate, influence, and negotiate with stakeholders at every level to create alignment and clarity

• You own strong prioritizing and organizing skills, combined with drive to get things done

The desired candidate will have

• Approximately 7+ years of relevant work experience, e.g. background in technology strategy development, technology focused management consulting, or equivalent. Preferred industries include i.e., real estate technology, smart buildings, internet of things, and like

• Proven track record of strategic thinking with business & technology acumen. Strong knowledge of strategy development methodologies and frameworks.

• Demonstrated experience of data-driven technology strategies and leading strategy development projects from analysis to implementation in global matrix organizations

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities utilizing quantitative and qualitative tools

• Strong, proven, stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and alignment skills. Several years of experience working with leaders in top management and communicating with senior stakeholders

• Master’s degree in relevant field with excellent academic performance

• Fluency in English

• Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel
