About the role
<span><p>We are looking for a passionate <strong>Senior Front-End Developer</strong> to join our <strong>Enabling Functions - Colleague</strong> <strong>team</strong>, working alongside 8 talented colleagues who deliver critical functionalities for Tesco. In this role, you will play a key part in building and maintaining applications that support essential financial processes for our Tesco colleagues worldwide.</p><p>Your responsibilities will include developing features related to <strong>bonus calculations, payslips, absence management</strong>, and contributing to the <strong>global careers website</strong>. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our solutions are reliable, scalable, and user-friendly.<br/></p></span>

You will be responsible for
<ul><li><span><span>Using your in-depth knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node, and the ecosystem of tools to develop and implement scalable frontend systems </span></span></li><li><span><span>Profiling and optimising the code</span></span></li><li><span><span>Applying understanding of cohesion and architectural principles to create well-structured, maintainable software</span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Identifying patterns in code and refactoring the code towards them where it increases understanding and/or </span><span>maintainability</span></span><span>with minimal guidance</span></span></li><li><span><span>Translating requirements into tasks & code </span></span></li><li><span><span>Developing high-quality code that can lead to rapid delivery, ruthlessly pursuing continuous integration and delivery - CI/CD</span></span></li><li><span><span>Committing code early and often, demonstrating understanding of version control & branching strategies</span
