The Head of Marketing will partner closely with Corporate Communications (for brand, digital, PR, and social) and Events (for trade shows and conferences), while directly managing external vendors and agencies to scale execution.
The successful candidate will bring both strategic vision and operational execution, establishing the marketing infrastructure, processes, and KPIs to support ElevateBio’s long-term growth.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
Strategic Marketing & Market Development
- Develop and implement ElevateBio’s global marketing strategy, aligned to business growth priorities and innovation roadmap.
- Define and refine customer personas, decision drivers, and buying journeys through market research and voice-of-customer insights.
- Translate insights into differentiated value propositions across BaseCamp® manufacturing, enabling technologies, and platform services.
- Provide commercial input into portfolio strategy, pricing/value models, and long-range forecasts.
Brand, Messaging & Content
- Create ElevateBio’s messaging framework to ensure consistent, differentiated communication to biotech and pharma audiences.
- Develop content strategy and assets including case studies, white papers, digital campaigns, sales enablement tools, and customer-facing presentations.
- Ensure seamless alignment with Business Development to support pipeline growth and deal conversion.
Marketing Communications & Events
- Partner with Corporate Communications on website strategy, SEO/SEM, social media, PR, and media engagement.
- Collaborate with the Events function to maximize impact at global conferences, trade shows, and industry forums.
- Ensure all external communications reflect a consistent brand identity and value story.
Vendor, Budget & Metrics Management
- Select, manage, and direct external vendors, agencies, and freelancers to expand capacity.
- Own and manage the marketing budget, including planning, forecasting, and reconciliation.
- Establish and track KPIs and dashboards for marketing performance, lead generation, content engagement, and event ROI.
- Foster a data-driven, ROI-focused approach to marketing investments.

- The ideal candidate is a hands-on, strategic marketing leader with deep understanding of the advanced therapy/CDMO ecosystem. They are equally comfortable shaping long-term strategy and rolling up their sleeves to execute campaigns. They bring strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and a proven ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with biotech innovators.
- This individual will be entrepreneurial, resourceful, and motivated by the opportunity to grow a marketing function that will support our expanding business development efforts.
