About the role

 

Overview

 

The Clinical Product Research Intern will be responsible for assisting in the clinical evaluation of new-to-world Advanced Bionics products and in conveying the CI recipient and clinician perspectives to the development process. The role involves implementing protocols to test pre-market products, conducting hands-on audiological-based subject evaluations and documenting the outcomes of clinical evaluations. These activities provide feedback to the organization regarding product readiness, performance, and usability. Research interns also assist in collecting customer feedback on early concepts and designs, while contributing to market research, and developing content that supports the training and use of new products in the field.

 

 

 

What you’ll do:

  • Development and execution of a mentored research project in alignment with Advanced Bionics Clinical Research strategy.
  • Verify software/hardware/procedures prior to study execution.
  • Engage in recruitment and testing of eligible adult research subjects.
  • Collect, analyze and summarize study data.
  • Prepare results for publication/presentation to external and internal audiences.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you bring to the team:

 

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication disorders, acoustics or a related speech and hearing science field.

Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree in Audiology or current enrollment in an AuD/PhD program

 

 

Work Experience

  • Minimum one year of audiology practicum experience

 Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of current research practices, CI & hearing aid fittings, bone conduction devices and/or objective measures
