Manufacturing Manager – Effective Implementor and Multitasker Full Time Salary Range: $100,000 to $120,000

If so, we hope you’ll apply. Pro-Type Industries is looking for a Manufacturing Manager who is detailed oriented, multitasker to join our Sterling, VA metal fabrication team. As the Manufacturing Manager, you will oversee, lead and optimize the daily manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

Job Duties Include

  • Lead all aspects of production operations, ensuring alignment with company goals for safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC).
  • Immediately address and resolve performance issues in the Machine Shop, including backlog reduction, scheduling gaps, and accountability.
  • Implement and enforce key performance indicators (KPIs) across departments using SQDC boards and visual management tools.
  • Coach and develop team leads and supervisors into high-performing, data-driven leaders who promote urgency, ownership, and collaboration.
  • Establish and maintain standardized preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Drive cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives targeting operational excellence in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Optimize plant layout, material flow, and scheduling practices to minimize bottlenecks and increase throughput.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry and utilization of ERP systems across all operational functions.
  • Maintain strict compliance with AS9100 standards, customer quality requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning, capital investment, and capacity expansion initiatives.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field is preferred but not required.
