This job is responsible for the development, management, and implementation of regional and/or system wide strategies to improve Access across the care continuum and sustainment efforts. The role requires commitment to culture of access, leading through influence and improving Access to Care for our patients. This job establishes and maintains a rhythm for template and tool reviews, completes analytic deep dives, and prepares reports to share key learnings. Develops and is accountable for budget and results of departments and functional areas; and partners closely with physicians and operational leaders to drive meet Access goals.

Education

Required – Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Finance or related field.

Preferred – Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Finance or related field.

Work Experience

Required – 5 years of Healthcare or related experience, including 2 years of Leadership experience.

Proven experience in working directly with physicians, managers and/or other administrative staff.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels within the organization.

  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.

  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, prioritize work and drive action through influence.

  • Ability to understand Access to Care needs and priorities and develop effective strategies to meet those needs.

  • Extensive analytical skills including the ability to draw analytical conclusions and pinpoint opportunities based on various subjective and objective data points.

  • Working knowledge of Epic Cadence, including provider templates and scheduling workflows.

  • Ability to travel across the region may be required.

Job Duties

  • Manages, develops, retains, and inspires an engaged workforce. and drives service excellence through appropriate hiring, training, and accountability measures.

  • Collaborates with operational leaders and partners with MD Access Champion throughout the region or system to perform ongoing reviews of access workflows and scheduling templates and maintain effective Access strategies.

  • Socializes, trains on and maintains in system access initiatives and projects that require regional and/or system scaling.

  • Develops and presents thoughtful and easy to understand data stories through the synthesizing of complex data points that highlight quantifiable opportunity areas and drive action.

  • Proactively forecasts future access problems before they arise and present options to mitigate where appropriate.

  • Develops relationships while conducting formal and informal voice of customer analysis to understand pain points and perspectives on Access to Care. If supporting a region, shares feedback with system Access to Care team to aid in the development of system strategy and tactical planning.

  • Creates template models and improved methods for modeling and meeting clinic Access goals and RVU targets.

  • Understands existing processes, technology and system tools while exploring opportunities for new technology to support capacity and access to care needs for the region and/or system.

  • Participates in system Access to Care workgroups, teams and initiatives as needed.

  • Performs other related duties as
