We are seeking a skilled Energy Sales Advisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in energy sales, energy efficiency, building sciences, and sustainability practices. The role involves conducting thorough energy audits, analyzing energy usage data, recommending strategies, and selling retrofit projects to optimize energy efficiency for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct onsite energy assessments of non-residential buildings which include but are not limited to identifying existing lighting and refrigeration equipment.
  • Prospect new customers and generate new business relationships within your sales territory.
  • Conduct needs analysis to determine the best energy efficiency products for customers.
  • Provide information to customers on available utility incentives and program details.
  • Prepare and present proposals that recommend energy conservation measures, provide customer costs and incentives, and then sell the value proposition to the customer.
  • Maintain strong ongoing communications with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Track pipeline, enter and maintain prospects in company CRM and sales enablement tools, and manage calendar with field appointments and monitor progress towards program goals.
  • Achieve and maintain set performance sales metrics and objectives while providing best-in-class service
  • Responsible for representing the company in a professional manner and abiding by all safety and employee guidelines.
  • Responsible for maintaining and protecting all company equipment issued.
  • Perform detailed energy audits for commercial properties, including site visits and data collection.
  • Analyze utility bills, energy consumption patterns, and building systems to identify opportunities for energy savings.
  • Utilize comprehensive energy usage reports to outline findings and provide estimated cost savings for recommended energy efficiency measures.
  • Educate clients on energy-efficient technologies, products, and behavioral changes to promote energy efficiency.
  • Understand the intricacies of utility-driven energy efficiency programs and be able to leverage the incentive structure to propose the most attractive energy savings project to commercial customers.
  • Propose and sell energy efficiency projects to various customers, ranging from small businesses to large industrial facilities.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and utility stakeholders to sell energy efficiency upgrades and verify their effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to energy efficiency and sustainability.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of outside sales experience and record of sustained sales excellence
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license applicable to state laws and dependable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree highly desirable
  • Commitment to meeting energy conservation and revenue goals
  • Proven success in conducting energy audits and selling energy efficiency projects.
  • Certification as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in energy auditing.
  • Demonstrated record of sustained sales excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders
