What you'll do...
The ADE is hiring a Systems and Infrastructure Engineer II that will provide support for all displayed digital media content in all of Walmart and Sam’s retail locations. involves a variety of responsibilities focused on technology solution automation, infrastructure maintenance, requirement and scoping analysis, coding, issue resolution, capacity management, configuration management, infrastructure design, and documentation. The role is based in Bentonville, AR, and requires a proactive approach to automating repetitive tasks, maintaining infrastructure systems, and ensuring compliance with security policies. The engineer will work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and contribute to the design and implementation of robust solutions.
Responsibilities
- Operate as a support engineer to maintain steady state operations and support future digital media rollouts to an ever-increasing group of business units.
- Assist in identifying tasks that can be automated.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks for infrastructure systems, including remote management of media players.
- Understand business and technical requirements and analyze existing solutions.
- Document program development and revisions.
- Use issue resolution techniques to resolve low complexity issues.
- Analyze IT resource utilization and assist in creating capacity plans.
- Identify processes and tools for configuration management.
- Support in converting High Level Design to detailed design.
- Adhere to security/compliance norms while creating designs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field; OR 3 years of experience in technology infrastructure engineering.
- Experience with ServiceNow Incident Management and Jira a plus
- Scripting experience using Power Shell, and other languages such as Java Script, or Python
- Possess A “Can do” attitude and drive with an eagerness to learn new skills.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Process-oriented with documentation skills.
