This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) & Boeing Global Services (BGS) Software Engineering organization.

The T-38C Mission Software Team develops and tests safety critical flight software, displays, and training systems in a fast-paced engineering environment. Successful candidates will work closely with systems integration teams, customers, and field service representatives. Candidates will sustain software for a robust existing fleet of T-38C trainer fighters, design and develop new capabilities, and integrate new technologies to modernize the organization's infrastructure and build pipeline.
Position Responsibilities:
Designs, develops, tests, debugs and maintains software that is integrated into embedded devices and systems and meets industry, customer, safety and regulation standards.
Reviews, analyzes, and translates customer requirements into the design of software products for embedded devices and systems.
Builds and writes code for embedded systems software to run on specific specialized hardware.
Integrates embedded software with hardware components.
Analyzes, monitors and improves the efficiency and stability of embedded software systems.
Tests and debugs software for embedded devices and systems.
Implements current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software development and hardware technologies.
Advises on software and hardware integration domains.
Tracks and evaluates internal and supplier software team performance to ensure product and process compliance to project plans and industry standards.
Performs embedded software project management functions.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
5+ years of experience in C/C++, ADA, or other object-oriented programming languages
5+ years of experience in Linux, embedded operating systems, and Windows
5+ years of experienceworking with Visual Studio, Jira, or git
5+ years of experience in embedded software design, development, debugging, and performing software integration and test
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
