I. Job Summary
We are on the lookout for a highly experienced and motivated Product Owner with expertise in AWS and Snowflake to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in evaluating business processes, spotting areas for enhancement, and deploying solutions that utilize AWS and Snowflake to enhance data management and analytics. This role involves collaborating with relevant stakeholders to pinpoint necessary data and reporting needs and translating them into actionable tasks for the engineering teams.
The Product Owner should have extensive experience with modern database environments like Snowflake and familiarity with complex data integrations. This role includes implementing solutions with Snowflake, AWS, and third-party vendor data to construct a Customer Datamart. The candidate will work closely with stakeholders to define data, integration, and reporting requirements, converting these into actionable deliverables for engineering teams.
II. Duties and Responsibilities

- Conduct meetings, interviews, and workshops with stakeholders to understand business needs.
- Elicit, document, and validate business requirements and specifications.
- Analyze and map current business processes and workflows.
- Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and areas for improvement.
- Design and recommend process enhancements and optimizations.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows using Lucidchart.
- Document user stories in JIRA and Confluence.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation as needed for stakeholders.
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform decision-making.
- Develop metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and measure success.
- Assist project managers in planning, scoping, and coordinating project activities.
- Monitor project progress and ensure requirements are being met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Serve as a Team Lead to oversee the work of data engineering teams and sustain teams, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high-quality, on-time deliverables.
- Act as a point of contact for stakeholders, addressing queries and providing updates on project status.
- Facilitate communication between business units and technical teams to ensure alignment.
- Participate in the development of test plans and test cases to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Conduct or coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback for iterative improvements.
- Coordinate deployment plans.
- Support change management efforts by preparing training materials and user guides.
- Facilitate training sessions and ensure smooth transitions for end users.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance business performance.
III. Supervisory Responsibilities
May coach and mentor less-experienced analysts and act as team leader on more complicated systems projects.
