Consulting Associate, Liability Portfolio Management & Remediation (Entry Level)

About the role

ERM is seeking a hands-on Staff Scientist looking for a career opportunity based out of Syracuse, NY. The successful candidate will work on a variety of interesting site investigation and remediation projects. This is a great opportunity to work with ERM's technical experts to implement the latest investigation and remediation technologies. The ideal candidate will have the ability to collect field data based on defined objectives, work with the collected field information, provide office-based data review/validation, and support report development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and maintain quality standards on project deliverables.
  • Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with ERM employees, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Learn more about the diversity of ERM services and expand your career opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Science, or Engineering is preferred.
  • Recent graduate to 2 years of relevant experience, with progressive project management and field team leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Strong MS Office and Excel skills.
  • Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • GIS experience is preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
