Job Purpose
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Sr. HRBP).
The Sr. HRBP is responsible for translating business strategy into people strategies, driving consistency in HR practices, and ensuring compliance, engagement, and talent effectiveness across the site. This role has direct accountability for employee relations, talent management, workforce planning, and change leadership, while maintaining strong alignment with enterprise HR frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic business partner to assigned engineering competency leaders and cross-functional leaders, providing guidance on workforce strategy, organizational effectiveness, change management, and people-related risk.
- Translate organizational priorities into actionable HR strategies that support business performance and culture.
- Advise leaders on complex employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, performance management, and corrective action.
- Lead and support assigned engineering competencies site-level activities, workforce transitions, and change initiatives in alignment with leadership goals.
- Ensure alignment, consistency, and compliance with BorgWarner HR policies, processes, and standards.
- Act as a mentor and escalation point for complex or sensitive HR matters.
- Lead and facilitate talent management processes including workforce planning, succession planning, talent reviews, and development planning.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring strategies, workforce needs, and critical role fulfilment.
- Advise leaders on career development, internal mobility, and retention strategies.
- Support campus and early-career programs as applicable to the ITC population.
- Champion engagement, inclusion, and culture initiatives aligned with BorgWarner values.
- Analyse employee feedback (e.g., engagement surveys) and drive targeted action planning with leaders.
- Support wellness initiatives, site-level committees, and employee programs that enhance the employee experience.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, HR policies, data privacy, and documentation standards.
- Oversee HRIS (Workday) data accuracy, audits, and correction actions.
- Analyse workforce metrics and trends; provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Participate in enterprise HR projects, transformational initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in all HR activities.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressively responsible HR experience, including employee relations and business-partnering responsibilities.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring HR team member strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and manage complex, sensitive HR issues.
