Job Description
The University of Nevada Athletics Department is recruiting an Assistant Athletics Director, Lawlor Events Center position. The Assistant Athletics Director, Lawlor Events Center is an administrative and supervisory position in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA). The position is responsible for the planning and overall management of maintenance/custodial within Lawlor Facility; conversion services for all athletic events, concerts, and other conferences and conventions.
The position will support and assist in the coordination of all University of Nevada, Reno event personnel involved in the management of all home athletic events in Lawlor, and assist with other University, commercial and non-profit events held in the Lawlor facility. This position will assist with Deputy Athletic Director and the Associate Athletic Director for Events and Facilities on all construction and renovations projects within Lawlor.
The position supervises the work of assigned staff; ensures timely planning and scheduling; and manages work orders to procure equipment and other supplies. The incumbent is a member of the Events & Facilities Management Department Team, which works in departmental strategic planning to develop a more integrated unit. The position reports to the Associate Athletic Director for Events and Facilities.
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree and two (2) years of related professional work experience; OR Bachelor’s Degree and four (4) years of related professional work experience.
Related Experience: Experience with comparable facilities, project management, budget development/implementation and staff supervisor/development. with three years of supervisory experience.
Schedule or Travel Requirements
Event schedule will require nights, weekends and holidays.
