100% FTE, Monday- Friday, 8:00- 5:00 PM. No weekends. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team including transplant surgeons and transplant physicians and provide comprehensive care to both well and ill patients in the outpatient setting.
- Provide care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses, specifically disorders of abdominal transplant patients, both pre- and post-transplantation.
- Perform routine procedures such as: administration of local infiltrative anesthesia, incision and drainage, removal of wound drains, wound care, interpretation of routine x-rays prior to reading by the responsible physician or radiologist, and Suture/staple placement and removal.
Education:
Minimum –
If Nurse Practitioner:
Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program
If Physician Assistant:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure
If Nurse Practitioner*:
- Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
- Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Adult; Adult/Gerontology Acute Care, Adult/Gerontology Primary Care.
If Physician Assistant*:
- Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
- Active PA board certification
All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
*Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice. This may include licensing in Wisconsin and other state(s) of practice.
Physical Requirements:
Light: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
