JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Penn State Psychological Clinic, a fully licensed comprehensive outpatient community mental health center, is seeking applicants for a full-time Staff Therapist. Full Penn State benefits are included.
The Psychological Clinic provides psychological and psychiatric outpatient treatment and psychological and neuropsychological assessment for adults, families, adolescents, and children, as well as school- and community-based intervention programs.
The focus of the Staff Therapist’s clinical work will primarily be with children and adolescents. However, there may be opportunities to expand or shift focus to adults in the future, based on business needs.
The Staff Therapist will be responsible for providing:
Individual and group psychotherapy for a broad range of clinical disorders in both short- and long-term treatment formats
Initial consultation and diagnostic assessment for clients with a wide range of mental health, behavioral, emotional, and developmental concerns
Behavioral health and case management services
Other primary responsibilities include collaborating with staff and other professionals to provide the best care possible for Clinic clients, completing all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner, and performing all services according to relevant ethical and professional standards of care.

Education and Experience:
