Purpose

To assist the Dell Medical School clinical operations leadership in developing and managing projects across Dell Medical School clinical care initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage portfolio of strategic and operational initiatives for the Department. Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses, track activities and provide follow up, and manage complex interactions between project activities.

• Develop working relationships with healthcare professionals from related fields, health care systems, and community partners.

• Observe and analyze existing care delivery processes and work with stakeholders to define and implement new models. Assist in the development of data collection and measurement tools to gather relevant information.

• Develop presentations, papers and other outputs to summarize issues and results for various audiences. Design and implement internal workflow tracking and reporting tools and processes. Coordinate and execute plans for information/data gathering and analysis. Identify potential new steps for implementation activities and identifies collaborators.

• Coordinate logistics for meetings and project groups, develop agendas, and capture minutes from project meetings.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of project management experience, with demonstrated project organization skills, including the ability to multi-task, balance priorities, set and manage timelines for deliverables. Experience in project management of complex healthcare projects, especially outpatient practice activities. Background in health care delivery across hospital, private practice and/or academic settings. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with health care providers, institutions and researchers locally, regionally and nationally. Understanding of clinical workflows and experience with performance improvement in clinical settings. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and other project management software, such as Smartsheet, with the proven ability to produce professional documents in MS Power Point and develop Excel models. Excellent analytical skills, problem solving ability and professional demeanor. Ability to address individuals and information with a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality in various settings.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Public Policy or other related field. Experience with change management in complex organizational settings. Experience with process improvement principles such as Lean/Six Sigma or similar. Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, demanding and fluid work environment. Proficiency in working in a broad stakeholder landscape, balancing competing and sometimes conflicting interests. Proven ability to effectively work independently and as a member of a team. Two or more years of experience at a leading management consulting firm, health care consulting firm, or health care delivery organization. Ability to communicate conflicting deadlines and realistic estimations of completion. Strong customer service orientation: recognizes, understands, and meets needs of customers and partners at all levels of the organization.

Salary Range

$65,000+ depending on qualifications
