Product Security Engineer

The Seagate Product Security Office (PSO) is seeking talented and highly motivated candidates for the position of Product Security Engineer to join us as we grow the future of Product Security and Cybersecurity throughout our product line development, operations, supply chain, and infrastructure. The location for this role is Longmont, CO

About the role - you will:

 

The Product Security Engineer will work closely with the Product Security Operations and Engineering team members and be responsible for the following:

 

• Product Threat Modelling technical contributor
• Contribute to Product Security Test & Evaluation process
• Product Security vulnerability & risk analysis
• Contribute to Product Security Incident Response function enterprise wide
• Participate in Penetration Testing of software as a service product

About you:

 

• Great communication skills - written and verbal
• Ability to work well in teams
• Demonstrated hands-on technical problem-solving skills

Your experience includes:

 

• Penetration testing
• Knowledge of cyber security fundamentals
• General understanding of what product security entails
• BS/MS or technical certificate in or a related field
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering or equivalent education and experience

 

You might also have:

 

• Knowledge of Programming Languages such as C, C++, Python
• Knowledge of full stack languages such as HTML, JSON, NODE, Ruby, etc.
• Knowledge of and or experience in one or more of the following areas: DevSecOps, AppSec, Asset based Threat Modelling, Penetration Testing, Embedded Systems, Knowledge of and or experience with design and development of product security storage solutions 
• Security professional certification (Security+, CEH, a GIAC, etc.)
• Relevant Coursework – Cybersecurity fundamentals, network security, web application security, documentation and process diagram

Colorado's 2021 Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) requires we inform you of the estimated base salary range for this position: $62,000 – $79,000. Actual salary range is based on fair market value of the role in the geography in which you live based on the requirements of the job and your skills. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and Seagate reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
