The Manager -Distribution Services Manages, mentors, coaches and guides the Distribution Services core group and multiple project Teams using continuous improvement methods; analyzes data and determines appropriate metrics to assist Distribution groups with process improvements. Provides support to management and other distribution centers

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversees and manages the Distribution Services core group

• Develops and administers training

• Designs and develops processes and procedures

• Develops, plans, and coordinates resources to meet departmental objectives

• Promotes and performs process improvements

• Purchases fixed assets when necessary

• Approves work instructions

• Provides mentoring and coaching to staff and project teams

• Analyzes data and determines appropriate metrics

• Conducts IPS management responsibilities

• Plans and manages multiple projects

• Facilitates Team meetings

• Coaches and guides Kaizen Teams

• Develops policies

• Manages budget

• Interfaces, influences and builds relationships with all levels of associates and management

• Assists management in meeting corporate and departmental goals and objectives

• Supports corporate policies and departmental policies

• Supports EMS/QMS policies and procedures

• Supports health and safety policies

• Associate must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions

 

Experience with the following systems:

o Visio

o Microsoft Office applications

o Sharepoint

o PKMS

o JDE

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Degree Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience in project

planning and/or Operations Distribution

Certification Requirements: Lean Office or equivalent

Previous Experience: 5 years experience managing people; experience working with

teams

Travel Requirements: As Required

On Call Requirements: As Required

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
