The Production Test Technician I supports manufacturing operations by performing basic electrical and optical final testing on components and assemblies under close supervision. This role follows established test procedures, operates standard test equipment, and accurately records results while developing foundational technical, safety, and quality knowledge.

- Perform basic electrical and/or optical final tests on production components and assemblies under supervision.
- Operate standard test equipment, meters, fixtures, and tools to verify functionality.
- Follow detailed, written test procedures and work instructions.
- Accurately record test data, results, and observations in required systems or documentation.
- Identify obvious test failures and escalate issues according to established procedures.
- Learn basic troubleshooting techniques and proper use of test instruments.
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and ESD procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with manufacturing standards.
- Participate in required training and continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read and follow detailed written instructions and procedures.
- Basic computer skills and ability to enter data accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based production environment.
- Willingness to learn basic electrical/optical testing concepts and equipment.
Preferred
- Technical certificate, vocational training, or coursework in electronics, photonics, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, production, or test environment.
- Familiarity with basic electrical measurements (e.g., voltage, current, continuity).
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing and laboratory environment.
- May require standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
- Ability to use hand tools
