About the role

Responsible for the global development and growth of a set of assigned global brands, out of which at least one is a Global Company Priority. Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing strategic direction and execution for the assigned brand(s), licensor management, development and execution of the strategic business plan, implementation of Domestic and International brand marketing programs and establishing and leading regular productive communication with cross-functional and licensor teams. In this capacity, the Director is also to provide regular feedback on brand health performances to the Brand Executive as well as Senior Management.

Responsible for all aspects of the licensor brand marketing for assigned Domestic and International brands, including budgets, expenses, personnel, goals, timelines, and deliverables for Domestic and International brands.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with respective licensors on a daily basis, including at least one key Licensor in Marchon’s portfolio.

Develop and monitor the strategic business plan for product and marketing; execute through the interaction and support of a cross-functional team and various department heads.

Develop global brand strategies to capitalize on market opportunities as they arise.

Develops brand positioning for eyewear; continually develop recommendations that improve brand positioning and manage the implementation of those initiatives.

Ensure Global Brand Priorities are known, applied, and executed at the local level in order to fulfill the company strategy and its objectives from both a top-line (sales) and bottom-line (profitability) perspective.

Work closely with Finance and all concerned functions along the value-chain process to ensure the profitability of the assigned brands.

Collaborate with internal teams through full life cycle of a product (design, production, forecasting and capacity planning) to ensure long-term success of the brand/product.

Maintain brand integrity, including advertising and all other internal and external communication as it pertains to the brand.

Oversees product market research and analysis, product sales analysis and competitor product analysis in tight collaboration with Merchandising Team.

Executes new product launches, including complete information on available sales tools and training dedicated to the sales forces.

Participates in the development of budgets and monitoring of expenses to ensure that costs are within established levels.

Lead and coach a team of brand managers, including senior profiles, responsible of multiple brands.

Monitor performance of employees; provide prompt and objective coaching, feedback and counseling to help ensure high levels of engaged team members.

Assure that effective communications are maintained within the department.

Manage the interview and hiring process for open positions to ensure the most qualified candidates are selected.

Conduct performance reviews and recommend salary increases.

Attends trade shows, sales meetings, and sales launch events as deemed necessary.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience; Minimum of 2 additional years of experience related to functional area

Minimum of 6 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work, and managing the performance of direct reports

Proven ability to develop and execute strategies

Ability to elevate the perception of our brands, corporate brand, and our company

Experience in eyewear, beauty, fashion, or fashion-related industry

Excellent project management skills and experience managing large projects 

Proven track record of influencing constituents for optimal results

Excellent analytical capabilities

Excellent organization skills, detail-oriented, and ability to multitask

Flexible and able to change priorities and direction quickly and effectively

Presence and Public Speaking Skills

Ability to write and present clear and concise reports 

Travel domestically and internationally as required up to 50% of the time
