Your main responsibilities

The Sr. Field Superintendent, Existing Installations (EI) is responsible for the servicing and repair of all assigned units to ensure conformance with customer and Company requirements related to quality improvement, safety, cost improvement, and customer satisfaction in support of Area objectives. This position is also responsible for employee selection, training, and safety for all assigned projects.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure maintenance meets Area and Company quality standards and fulfills all contract requirements.
  • Implement customer and Company requirements for quality, performance reliability, and passenger safety for each project under his/her supervision.
  • Implement EEO/AA requirements consistent with Area, State, and Federal regulations.
  • Support the sales staff in estimating service orders, scheduling and executing orders, and investigating and resolving customer complaints. This specific position may include a sales role depending on the candidate.
  • Manage an ongoing program of project audits to ensure conformance with quality, completeness, performance, and safety standards.
  • Develop and implement manpower selection, training, and performance appraisal programs essential to achieving productivity and quality improvement objectives.
  • Implement route management strategies to ensure the consistent application of preventive maintenance procedures while maintaining appropriate manpower levels.
  • Foster a spirit of teamwork and dedication to quality improvement among all employees.
  • Evaluate and initiate requests for tooling where such tools would support productivity improvements.
  • Maintain and manage proactive relationships with local IUEC business agents.
  • Advise Area Management of competitor activity related to pricing, performance, and manpower.

Key Areas of Focus

Operations Management

  • Ensure maintenance operations meet Company standards for quality, safety, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Oversee project execution and workforce utilization to support Area objectives.
  • Manage preventive maintenance programs and route strategies to maximize efficiency and service quality.

Employee Leadership & Development

  • Lead employee selection, training, coaching, and performance management activities.
  • Drive productivity and quality improvement initiatives through ongoing employee development.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a customer-focused culture.

Customer & Sales Support

  • Partner with Sales teams to estimate, schedule, and execute service orders.
  • Support customer retention through issue resolution and proactive relationship management.
  • Assist in investigating and resolving customer concerns to ensure a high level of satisfaction.

Quality & Safety

  • Implement programs that support quality improvement, performance reliability, and passenger safety.
  • Conduct project audits and inspections to ensure compliance with Company standards and contractual obligations.

Labor Relations & Industry Awareness

  • Maintain positive working relationships with local IUEC business agents.
  • Monitor competitive activity and provide feedback to Area Management regarding market conditions, pricing, manpower, and service performance.
 

What you bring

  • Minimum high school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of elevator supervisory experience 

Work Experience

  • Working knowledge of elevators and escalators with the ability to manage and direct field personnel to meet Area goals.
