Job Summary

Are you interested in joining CHOC’s mighty brigade of nurses in our level II NICU at St. Joseph Hospital? The CHOC NICU at St. Joseph’s is a level II (no critical patients) nursery with all private rooms. In addition to nurturing a meaningful career for nurses, CHOC also offers an excellent salary and benefits package including an education reimbursement program (up to $10,000 per year).

Pay Range

Minimum $73.44 Midpoint $75.48 Maximum $77.52

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

NICU RN Qualifications

·       Registered Nurse-California

·       Ped. Advanced Life Support

·       Basic Life Support

·       NRP

·       1 year of nursing experience in a level II or III NICU (preferably within the last 3 years)

·       Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from an accredited school within 2 years of hire

·       RNC-NIC certified (preferred)

Work Environments - Functional Demand:

Light - Moderate energy level Lift and carry 25-35 lbs. Push/pull 50-100 lbs. (ie. empty bed, stretcher).

Bending, Carry Objects, Climbing, Keyboard use/repetitive motion, Pinching/fine motor activities, Push/Pull, Reaching forward, Reaching overhead, Sitting, Squat/kneel/crawl (Squad & Knee), Standing, Talk or hear, Taste or smell, Twisting, Walking, Wrist position deviation

Physical Activity Lifting
