Ground-Man Asphalt Plant Operations

Rogers Group Inc. is currently seeking a Ground-man for Asphalt Plant Operations, Huntsville, Alabama and surrounding areas, Alabama SMA reporting to the Asphalt Plants Manager. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.

Job Details:

• Wages start at $22.00hr, starting wage based on experience. 
• Fulltime/Permanent 
• Day Shift
• Weekend work may be required
• Night Shift may be required
• Travel between Asphalt Plants may be required
• Overtime available along with extensive medical and retirement benefits

Job Responsibilities: 

• Operate a variety of Front-End Loader and other machinery as required.
• Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
• Perform general labor task, assist with plant cleanup and plant maintenance
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management
• Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• 1 year of loader operator experience preferred.
• Previous fixed plant maintenance or related industry experience is required.
• Experience working with asphalt plants, conveyors, and screens is required.
• Experience in fabricating, cutting, and welding is a plus.
• Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, without close supervision.
• Self-motivated individual - must be able to perform required duties independently, without constant supervision.
• Must be flexible on working hours and locations with the ability to adapt to different work environments.
• Valid drivers license.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
