Purpose of Role: The Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician will have a combination of working advanced electrical knowledge as well as a working knowledge in mechanical systems.  This position will provide support for various types of equipment.  The candidate will handle assigned opportunities that can include troubleshooting, making repairs, and performing preventative maintenance tasks to minimize impact to production and improve equipment reliability.  To be successful in this role, the following qualities are critical: possess the ability to learn new processes and systems, maintain integrity with all daily activities, work with limited supervision, advanced electrical skills, and an understanding of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analytical methodologies: Systematic problem solving tools history of use in the past.

  • Troubleshooting: Perform: Problem solving in general from the industrial electrical background side.

  • Facility Management: Supporting the whole site and the plant operations.

  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Any equivalent combination of education and electrical background experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.

  • 2+ years of industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing environment as an electrical technician.

  • Experience in motor control.

  • Experience in PLC’s and VFD’s
