What You Will Do:

• Quarterly and year-end close activities for assigned Funds. Includes work paper preparation/review including financial statements, capital account statements and account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting.
• Read, understand and interpret Limited Partnership Agreements, Operating Agreements and other related legal documents associated with Funds.
• Prepare/review Fund capital calls and distributions including investor calculations and notices.
• Prepare/review Fund management fee calculations and subsequent close calculations for Funds not yet closed.
• Possess critical thinking skills to be able to perform meaningful reviews and to identify issues.
• Manage and coordinate Fund audits for assigned Funds including detailed review of financial statements and footnotes.
• Manage and coordinate Fund tax returns, K-1s and other related tax documents for assigned Funds.
• Effectively communicate with multiple parties including client contacts, senior management, external auditors, bankers, and tax accountants.
• Review valuation models created by client investment teams for compliance with Valuation Policy and US GAAP.
• Ability to address AD HOC reporting requests from multiple sources.
• Address investor questions as they arise.

 What You’ll Need:

 

• 15+ years of progressive work experience & must have experience working in private sector
• Strong understanding of Fund accounting
• Strong understanding or hands on experience with Investran and/or Allvue
• Knowledge of partnerships, fund structures, waterfalls, preferred return/carried interest, and capital transactions.
• Knowledge of Fund performance metrics such as IRR, TVPI, DPI, RVPI and MOIC.
• Financial services experience required
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Microsoft Excel
• Capable of managing own workload and working independently as well as in teams
• Well-tailored critical thinking skills, strong organizational skills, and being highly detail-oriented are a must!
• Must be able to multi-task and be willing to be hands-on
• Must possess the ability to meet deadlines
• Entrepreneurial mindset is a plus
• Public and private accounting experience mix is preferred
• Must have a consistent, positive, and helpful attitude
• Must be disciplined and organized
• An undergraduate degree is required, and an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• CPA preferred but not required.

 

Salary Range
At Petra Funds Group, we are committed to transparency and equity in our hiring practices. The compensation range for this position is $122,000 - $183,000 per year. This range represents the base salary only. Actual pay will depend on factors such as qualifications, experience, and skills.
