Job Description:  

As an Assistant Transportation Engineer with one of our design teams, you will be responsible for the preliminary and final design of a variety of bridges.

Preliminary design tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Development of Preliminary Design Reports to recommend the final project scope,
  • Preliminary cost estimates, and
  • Civil engineering tasks such as analyzing structure types, geometric design of roadways, hydraulic design, and other needs of the project

Final design responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Civil/structural design or design checks of all components, including structures and roadway,
  • Plan development,
  • Final cost estimates, and
  • Compiling all project specifications

Work is performed in a team environment with the support of senior engineers, technicians, and project managers. Good communications and teaming skills are required.

To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or closely related field –OR- non-engineering college graduates and non-degreed candidates must possess a Certification of Engineer-Intern as issued by the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers.
