About the role
Scout Clean Energy is looking for a driven and creative professional to join our growing Marketing team as an Associate, directly reporting to the Director of Marketing. Our ideal candidate will be instrumental in finding and telling the stories of the Scout team, the renewable energy projects we build, the communities in which we build them. They will also interface with teams across the company to assist in the creation of pitch decks, one pagers, case studies, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Source and produce a steady stream of content for Scout’s newly-established blog, spanning a variety of topics and writing styles.
- Work with the Director of Marketing to develop long-term content strategy and campaigns.
- Help develop Scout’s first email newsletter, compiling news from across the industry and Scout specific announcements
- Draft weekly content for Scout’s LinkedIn page, including graphics where applicable.
- Assist with the management of the Scout website; publishing content, updating existing pages, and keeping up to date on opportunities for improvement.
- Create and help design collateral for teams across Scout, including project case studies, product one pagers, project signage, and longer form collateral.
- Assist in the management of Scout’s collateral library, keeping content up to date and maintaining consistency of messaging.
Requirements
- Pursuing or holding a degree in a marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Ability to manage and organize a large volume of tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Close attention to detail.
- Willingness to share ideas and collaborate.
- Ability to write in different voices but maintain broad consistency.
- Proven ability to design or work with designers to create visual content.
- Strong creative mind; ability to think outside of the box.
- Experience producing content for social media channels.
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite is a strong plus.
Organizational Fit
- Demonstrated ability to work in a flat organization, successfully leveraging the expertise of multiple colleagues in different lines of reporting.
- Strong communication, project management and team-building skills experience working with cross- functional internal and external technical advisors and stakeholders.
- Ability to multi-task and arbitrate between conflicting priorities with clear target setting and follow- through capability in a fast-paced work environment.
- Authorized to work in the United States.

Our ideal candidate is located in Boulder or would be willing to relocate to Boulder in order to be able to commute to our Boulder office on a hybrid schedule.
