The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an Advanced Product Development Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Lead chemist responsible for performing lab scale reactions to support product developers on specific NPI’s (new product introductions) and/or CMPs (change management projects.
- Responsible for both material and process optimization of each assigned NPI and/or CMP. Partners with product developer to complete qualification through internal and/or external partners
- Determines the appropriate performance tests, how they correlate to the final product performance, gathers the data, and presents the data to NPI and/or CMP team.
- Supports the entire adhesives and materials team through collaboration, problem solving, and idea generation on the different projects
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with experience working with pressure sensitive adhesives (PSAs) and low adhesion backsize (LABs) along with Materials characterization experience
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Communicating effectively both internally (cross-functional teams) and externally (with outside suppliers)
- Experienced in different types of acrylate polymerizations including water, solvent, and hot-melt
Work location: Onsite, Maplewood MN
Travel: May include up to 10 % domestic
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $95,825 - $117,120, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
