What You’ll Do

Drives a heavy truck (more than three tons) to transport cargo to and from local destinations and to Load/Unload Trucks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Semi, 53FT Dry van-Forklift
• Check packaging for uniformity and accuracy, ensuring that all needed product is transferred daily between two local locations. Once completed worker is to help with loading/unloading of trucks for shipping/receiving.
• Put away and organize and components that is received
• Follow all C-TPAT security regulations and guidelines
• Practice and enforce all safety procedures including use of PPE.
• Perform necessary handling of goods and materials.
• Loading and unloading trucks/ containers either by forklift or by hand.
• Ensure the adherence to good housekeeping practices in assigned areas.
• Reponsible for routine check and charging of power equipment.
• Report needed repairs to supervisor.
• Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip. Monitors the maintenance and repair of the truck. Assists with or oversees loading and unloading of cargo. Maintains logs recording cargo weight, arrival and departure times, and miles traveled (if applicable).
